ASAP TestSphere: Fast and cost-effective virtual validation
Comprehensive ASAP TestSphere connects tools and systems
To achieve extensive modularity and scalability in software validation, ASAP has designed its test system to integrate infrastructures ranging from Model-in-the-Loop to Hardware-in-the-Loop. This allows customers’ test approaches and tools to be seamlessly integrated from requirements through to release. At the same time, the test design process is decoupled from the tool landscape. This enables customers to continue using their familiar systems, ensuring great flexibility and speed by eliminating the need to overhaul their existing tools or learn new ones.
In essence, this is a validation ecosystem that separates the development of vehicle-specific functions from the development of the test bench’s foundational system. The core of this test bench-independent ASAP TestSphere—which integrates existing tools and systems and communicates through standardised interfaces—is its tool-independent editor. This editor connects via bridges to the respective ALM tool, the system architecture, and the customers’ test system. It visualises all data within a well-structured user interface.
Automated keyword-driven testing fixes errors at the beginning
Using the comprehensive ASAP TestSphere, ASAP experts also implement tool-independent, automated keyword-driven testing, which is a core component of the ASAP test system. Keyword-driven testing enables a test case to be written only once and easily adapted and reused across different test systems, test levels, and test frameworks. Errors are corrected directly in the keywords at the outset, ensuring they are resolved for all subsequent test cases.
The time required to develop test designs can be reduced to just 25% of the original effort with the new test system designed by ASAP. This approach also significantly accelerates and simplifies the practical implementation of software validation.
