From autonomous driving and connectivity to e-mobility and shared mobility, the trends shaping the automotive industry are built on innovative software technologies. The key to success? Customised solutions, specifically tailored to the requirements of the software-defined vehicle. We develop and industrialise control unit software and create scalable, automated, state-of-the-art infrastructures through our development of processes, methods and tools. We achieve this by combining agile development methods with long-standing automotive and IT expertise.
Our services in the
area of software
Control unit software | Functional development
At ASAP, we don’t just talk about A-Spice Level 2 and ISO 26262 – we implement them while developing and validating control unit software. We’re experts in model-based, code-centric and embedded software development. We’re passionate about developing and validating functions, algorithms and software, whether it’s for the drive, advanced driver-assistance system, body & comfort, infotainment, connectivity or energy management. And when we commission control unit software? It’s spot on. The parameterisation? It's customised. Our dev teams apply agile development and build system, function and software architectures that precisely describe the logical and technical behaviour. Using a model-based systems engineering approach, we lay the groundwork for vehicles that are not only smarter and safer, but also more comfortable.
Tool development | IT services
What do we offer? Analysis, development and optimisation for automating processes. We’re experts in developing, establishing and customising methods, tools, frameworks and tool chains. Our expertise comes from our experience in development projects and vice versa. Adapting and further developing application lifecycle management systems such as PTC CodeBeamer is key for this. These systems are changing the game when it comes to development, validation, control, management and smart reporting processes. Our portfolio also features the development, maintenance and operation of in-house software applications, including licence management. Our fresh ideas and agile solutions take IT landscapes to the next level.
Virtual validation | Continuous integration
We leverage advanced co-simulation platforms and virtual integration environments to shape the development and validation of the next generation of vehicles. By using model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL) and virtual electronic control units (vECU), we build bridges between hardware and the virtual environment. Our experts validate control unit functions on virtual integration platforms using environment simulations. On top of this, we automate SIL test benches in order to optimise test procedures. What about DevOps? We’ve got it down to a fine art we foster close collaboration between developers and users. We use continuous integration, testing and deployment (CI/CT/CD) to improve development processes and ensure seamless software deployment.
Our Process Automation Kit, or PAK, shines where other solutions fall short: at the developer level. It offers a flexible framework, slotting seamlessly into any environment. It adapts to specific automation requirements and secures processes at the same time. What are the benefits? More efficient development and lower process costs. This is how we guarantee compliance with process and methodology standards, and ensure better quality and traceability. On top of that, onboarding is fast and satisfaction levels are high. All in all, it’s a framework for automating individual and recurring tasks.
